Research and innovation at the Faculty of Economics and Muamalat (FEM), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), are firmly grounded in the university’s philosophy of integrating Naqli (revealed knowledge) and Aqli (rational knowledge). FEM positions itself as a vibrant hub for interdisciplinary research, fostering a collaborative environment where scholars blend Islamic principles with contemporary practices in economics, finance, and business.

This integrated approach enables the faculty to address complex global issues such as ethical finance, governance, sustainability, and social equity through an Islamic lens, while also leveraging modern tools, advanced methodologies, and contemporary theories to ensure relevance and impact.

In line with global developments, FEM researchers are also actively exploring emerging areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), financial technology (FinTech), big data analytics, and digital transformation. Through impactful research, high-quality publications, and innovation-driven solutions, FEM continues to serve the Ummah and contribute meaningfully to the betterment of society.
